The scholarships recognize players who have shown leadership, sportsmanship, and dedication to the sport of baseball while maintaining a grade point of 3.0 or better.

Factors taken into consideration during selection include involvement in Yankton Baseball Association, Inc. functions, school and extra curricular activities and community service.  The scholarships are for use at any qualified post-secondary educational institution.
