Mount Marty Baseball Announces Academy and Hitting Camp Dates

YANKTON, SD – October 19, 2018 –Mount Marty College Baseball program is pleased to announce opportunities for baseball skill development in the upcoming months.  These opportunities include academy and hitting camp options.

The Lancer Baseball program will again be offering academy options during the offseason months for area middle school and high school age baseball players.  The Mount Marty Baseball Academy will focus on fundamental skill development of defensive, hitting, and pitching. The mission of the Mount Marty Baseball Academy is to provide high school and middle school age players and opportunity to develop baseball skills during the offseason. The Mount Marty Baseball Academy has two sessions upcoming. 

 

The Mount Marty Baseball Academy is set to start its second session.  This seession will be comprised of fifteen dates with training session running on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Sunday hitting camps starting on Thursday Oct. 25 and running until December 2.  Tuesday and Thursday training session times are pending. Cost for this session is $150 (equals $10 a session) and potential training locations are Riverside Field at Bob Tereshinski Stadium and the Lancer Gym on the campus of Mount Marty College.  This session also has a one day a week option at the cost of $100.  Single date drop-in can be done at $20 per session, but must be pre-approved by lead instructor and assistant Mount Marty Baseball coach Josh Teichroew. This session is open to middle school and high school age baseball players. Players that sign-up for this session are automatically put into the Sunday hitting camp segment for their respective age session. Dates for this session: Dates for session #2: Oct. 25, 28, 30 Nov. 1, 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 25, 27, 29, Dec. 2. 

 

The third session will be comprised of thirteen dates with training sessions on Saturdays, Yankton school district off days, and Sunday/Monday hitting camps starting on January 12 and running until Feb. 18.  Saturday training session times are pending. Cost for this session is $130 (equals $10 a session) and potential training locations are Riverside Field at Bob Tereshinski Stadium and the Lancer Gym on the campus of Mount Marty College.  No drop-in or one day a week opportunities for this session. This session is open to middle school and high school age baseball players. Players that sign-up for this session are automatically put into the Sunday hitting camp segment for their respective age session. Dates for session #3:
Jan. 12, 13, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27, Feb. 2, 4, 9, 10, 18(x2).  

 

The Mount Marty Baseball program will continue to offer their annual hitting camps.  The first segment will be comprised of six dates on Sunday nights starting on Oct. 28 running until December 2.  The hitting camps will have segment options ranging from 2nd grade to high school. Cost is $60 (equals $10 a session) and each camp participant will receive a Mount Marty Baseball t-shirt. Dates for this hitting camp: Oct. 28, Nov. 4, 11, 18, 25 Dec. 2.

 

The second hitting camp segment will be comprised of six dates with a majority of dates on Sunday nights and a couple of dates on Monday nights.  Camps will start on January 13 and run to February 18 with segment options ranging from 2nd grade to high school. Cost is $60 (equals $10 a session) and each camp participant will receive a Mount Marty Baseball t-shirt. Dates for this hitting camp: Jan. 13, 20, 27 Feb. 4 (Mon.), 11, 18 (Mon.)
