Registration for the Yankton Baseball Association, Inc. high school and summer teams will be held online starting Monday October 21st, 2019 until Tuesday, December 31st, 2019. All players will need to pay a $100 non-refundable deposit at the time of registration. This will essentially be the cost of the calendar raffles which can be sold to others then you keep the money collected.
Registration and Fees:
Early registration is implemented to allow YBA ample time to determine how many teams there will be, hire coaches, schedule games and finalize budgets.
$100 non-refundable deposit, is included in the fee, due at the time of registration. Calendar raffle fundraising will be mailed out or hand them out at parents meeting. You can choose to sell the tickets and keep the money or keep them for yourself and have a chance to win a raffle drawing.

High School - $375 (current sophomore-seniors only)
Summer 13-18 year old - $625 (age as of January 1, 2020)
ALL FEES TO BE PAID BEFORE PLAYER WILL BE ALLOWED TO PLAY IN GAME
$50 late fee may be assessed to fees not received by the date due. Any registrations received after the stated deadline needs to be approved by a majority of the board.
If first year player, a copy of birth certificate is needed along with registration form.

For families with multiple players, a 20% discount will be given.

YBA adheres to the Yankton School District academic and 24/7/365 training rules violation policy.
In 2020 high school baseball will be available to sophomores-seniors only. Freshman or younger will have the opportunity to play by a head coach invitation or lack of numbers in the program.
Depending on number of players, YBA plans to have 3 teams – varsity, junior varsity and sophomore.
The concession stand during high school ball season is operated by YBA and every parent will be expected to work the concessions along with helping with transportation, announcing, scoreboard, gate and clean-up.
YBA will provide uniform tops and hats. Player is responsible for white pants, belt and socks.
Summer Baseball Facts:
YBA adheres to the Yankton School District 24/7/365 training rules violation policy.
Depending on number of players, YBA plans to have a 6 teams: Legion, Jr. legion, 16U team, 14U team, 14U/13U team and 13U team.
The concession stand during summer ball season is operated by the Optimists, however, parents will be expected to help Optimists in concessions if needed, transportation, announcing, scoreboard, gate and clean-up.
YBA will provide uniform tops and hats. Player is responsible for their own white pants, belt and socks.

The SD A Baseball League will no longer allow bats that are marked with a 1.15BPF stamp. They will need the USA Baseball stamp.

12u & Younger: up to a -13 drop and 2 1/4 or 2 5/8in barrel
13u - 13/14u: up to a -9 drop and 2 5/8in barrel
14U: In order to better transition to the upcoming -3 ounce BBCOR bat which all players will swing the following year, as well as keep your bat legal for all out-of-state tournaments, it is the recommendation of YBA that a bat for 14U be not lighter than -5 ounces with barrel not being larger than 2 5/8 inches in diameter.
15u -16u: -3 drop and BBCOR 2 5/8 in barrel
Legion and Jr Legion: -3 drop and BBCOR 2 5/8 in barrel

Mount Marty College Baseball program is pleased to announce opportunities for baseball skill development in the upcoming months. These opportunities include academy and hitting camp options.
The Lancer Baseball program will again be offering academy options during the offseason months for area middle school and high school age baseball players. The Mount Marty Baseball Academy will focus on fundamental skill development of defensive, hitting, and pitching. The mission of the Mount Marty Baseball Academy is to provide high school and middle school age players and opportunity to develop baseball skills during the offseason. The Mount Marty Baseball Academy will provide three different sessions.
The second session will be starting soon This session is comprised of fifteen dates with training session running on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Sunday hitting camps starting on Thursday Oct. 24 and running until December 1. Tuesday and Thursday training session times are pending. Cost for this session is $150 (equals $10 a session) and potential training locations are Riverside Field at Bob Tereshinski Stadium and the Lancer Gym on the campus of Mount Marty College. This session also has a one day a week option at the cost of $100. Single date drop-in can be done at $20 per session, but must be pre-approved by lead instructor and assistant Mount Marty Baseball coach Josh Teichroew. This session is open to middle school and high school age baseball players. Players that sign-up for this session are automatically put into the Sunday hitting camp segment for their respective age session. Dates for this session: Dates for session #2: Oct. 24, 27, 29 Nov. 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, 14, 17, 24, 26, 28, Dec. 1, 3.
The third session will be comprised of thirteen dates with training sessions on Saturdays, Yankton school district off days, and Sunday/Monday hitting camps starting on January 11 and running until Feb. 17. Saturday training session times are pending. Cost for this session is $120 (equals $10 a session) and potential training locations are Riverside Field at Bob Tereshinski Stadium and the Lancer Gym on the campus of Mount Marty College. No drop-in or one day a week opportunities for this session. This session is open to middle school and high school age baseball players. Players that sign-up for this session are automatically put into the Sunday hitting camp segment for their respective age session. Dates for session #3:

The Mount Marty Baseball program will continue to offer their annual hitting camps. The first segment will be comprised of six dates on Sunday nights starting on Oct. 27 running until December 1. The hitting camps will have segment options ranging from 2nd grade to high school. Cost is $60 (equals $10 a session) and each camp participant will receive a Mount Marty Baseball t-shirt. Dates for this hitting camp: Oct. 27, Nov. 3, 10, 17, 24 Dec. 1.
The second hitting camp segment will be comprised of six dates with a majority of dates on Sunday nights and a couple of dates on Monday nights. Camps will start on January 12 and run to February 18 with segment options ranging from 2nd grade to high school. Cost is $60 (equals $10 a session) and each camp participant will receive a Mount Marty Baseball t-shirt. Dates for this hitting camp: Jan. 12, 19, 26 Feb. 3 (Mon.), 11, 17 (Mon.)
