2024 HIGH SCHOOL AND SUMMER BASEBALL REGISTRATION

 

Registration for the Yankton Baseball Association, Inc. high school and summer teams will be held online starting Monday November 13th, 2023 until Monday, November 20th, 2023.   All players will need to pay a $100 non-refundable deposit at the time of registration. This will essentially be the cost of the calendar raffles which can be sold to others then you keep the money collected.

 

Registration and Fees:

Early registration is implemented to allow YBA ample time to determine how many teams there will be, hire coaches, schedule games and finalize budgets.

 

$100 non-refundable deposit, is included in the fee, due at the time of registration. Calendar raffle fundraising will be mailed out or hand them out at parents meeting. You can choose to sell the tickets and keep the money or keep them for yourself and have a chance to win a raffle drawing.

** Prices Include $100 Calendar raffle fee. 

High School - $395 (current sophomore - seniors only)

                    - $225 (current freshmen)        

Summer 13-18 year old - $645 (age as of January 1, 2023)

Both High School & Summer $940 (current sophomore - seniors only)

Both High School & Summer $865 (current freshman)

 

2024 Payment options

Option 1: 

Pay online with the processing fee and payment plans. Processing fee (3.1% + $1) is only applied to the first payment, when you play online. If you choose a payment plan, the 2nd - 4th payments WILL NOT HAVE A FEE associated with those payments. 

1st payment: $100 (Upon Registration)

2nd Payment: 2/15/24

3rd Payment 3/15/24

4th Payment 4/15/24

Plan A: 1st & 2nd Payment

Plan B: 1st, 2nd, 3rd Payment

Plan C: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th Payment

 

Option 2: Pay Offline in Full

Submit total fees upon conclusion of this registration session offline via cash or check. The offline $100 fee needs to be paid 15 days after the registration date. Final payment will be made in full at the by Sunday, February 28th .  An invoice will be send out via email for the final payment. We will NOT ACCEPT more than 2 payments ($100 + Final Payment).  Please make checks out to Yankton Baseball Association and send it to PO Box 299. 

ALL FEES TO BE PAID BEFORE PLAYER WILL BE ALLOWED TO PLAY IN GAME

$50 late fee may be assessed to fees not received by the date due. Any registrations received after the stated deadline needs to be approved by a majority of the board.

If first year player, a copy of birth certificate is needed along with registration form.

For families with multiple players, a 20% discount will be given.

 

High School Baseball Facts:

YBA adheres to the Yankton School District academic and 24/7/365 training rules violation policy.

In 2021 high school baseball will be available to sophomores-seniors only. Freshman or younger will have the opportunity to play by a head coach invitation or lack of numbers in the program.

Depending on number of players, YBA plans to have 3 teams – varsity, junior varsity and sophomore.

The concession stand during high school ball season is operated by YBA and every parent will be expected to work the concessions along with helping with transportation, announcing, scoreboard, gate and clean-up.

YBA will provide uniform tops and hats. Player is responsible for white pants, red belt and socks/stirrups (when wearing knickers)

 

Summer Baseball Facts:

YBA adheres to the Yankton School District 24/7/365 training rules violation policy.

Depending on number of players, YBA plans to have a 6 teams: Legion, Jr. legion, 16U team, 14U team, 14U/13U team and 13U team.

The concession stand during summer ball season is operated by the Optimists, however, parents will be expected to help Optimists in concessions if needed, transportation, announcing, scoreboard, gate and clean-up.

YBA will provide uniform tops and hats. Player is responsible for their own white pants, belt and socks.

 


Scholarship Program

A scholarship program is available for developmental league participants needing financial assistance. YBA partners with the Connecting Kids program through the United Way & Volunteer Services of Greater Yankton to offer this assistance to those CURRENTLY in 13U - 18U. Participants with special circumstances may apply for a scholarship. Scholarship applications must be approved by the board.  Scholarships are not available after the registration deadline.

After the approval of the YBA board and all the registration fees have been received, the YBA will credit the scholarship to the participants. If the scholarship doesn't meet the needs of the applicant, the YBA will determine additional assistance.  NO player will participate until all the requirements are met.
